SF7516PLUS 3kW Tube Laser Cutter Installation and Commissioning in the USA

SENFENG recently completed the installation and commissioning of an SF7516PLUS 3kW fiber laser tube cutter in the United States. The service included machine setup, fiber installation, water and electrical connections, laser output testing, cutting parameter optimization, automatic loading adjustment, angle steel processing, and operator training.

PLUS Series Tube Laser Cutter-3

The commissioning process focused not only on the core cutting functions but also on the coordination of the loading and continuous-processing functions, helping prepare the machine for a variety of tube and profile processing applications.

Machine Setup and Initial Testing

September 17-20, 2026

The service started with the preparation of the cutting head and fiber connection. After the fiber was routed and connected, the engineer proceeded with the installation and setup of the main machine.

Water and electrical connections were completed as part of the machine installation. Once the necessary connections were in place, the machine was powered on and the laser output was tested to verify the basic operating condition of the equipment.

These initial procedures established the necessary conditions for the subsequent commissioning of the cutting and material-handling functions.

Cutting System and PLC Commissioning

September 21-23, 2026

Following the initial machine tests, the engineer carried out cutting parameter commissioning to optimize the processing performance of the SF7516PLUS.

The commissioning work also covered the PLC and material-handling functions. The residual material processing sequence was adjusted, while the automatic loading function was configured for tubes of different lengths.

Angle steel loading was another important part of the commissioning process. The PLC sequence was adjusted according to different angle steel lengths to coordinate material loading with the cutting workflow.

After the individual functions were adjusted, continuous-cycle processing was performed to check the coordination of the loading and cutting sequences and further refine the machine settings.

Angle Steel Processing and Application Adjustment

September 24, 2026

The next stage focused on angle steel processing. The engineer optimized the relevant cutting configuration and completed the required adjustments for angle steel graphics.

Once the cutting graphics were properly configured, the corresponding processing functions were tested. This provided an opportunity to further verify the coordination between the cutting system and the automatic material-handling process.

Additional operation guidance was provided during this stage, covering the practical workflow of the machine and its application functions.

Hands-On Operation and Training

September 25, 2026

The final stage of the service focused on hands-on training and practical operation.

The training covered the main operating procedures of the SF7516PLUS, including machine operation, tube loading, automatic material handling, continuous-cycle processing, cutting parameter adjustment, and routine operation.

Practical exercises were incorporated into the training to reinforce the operating procedures. The complete workflow was demonstrated step by step, from material loading through cutting and subsequent processing.

The training also covered the handling of different tube lengths and profiles, with guidance provided on the relevant machine functions and operating procedures. Questions raised during the training were addressed through practical demonstrations and explanations.

SF7516PLUS Ready for Tube and Profile Processing

With installation, commissioning, and training completed, the SENFENG SF7516PLUS 3kW fiber laser tube cutter was prepared for tube and profile processing applications.

The service covered the complete commissioning process, from fiber connection and machine setup to laser testing, PLC adjustment, automatic loading, residual material processing, angle steel cutting, and operator training.

By fine-tuning both the cutting and material-handling functions, the commissioning process helped establish an integrated workflow for processing tubes and angle steel of different lengths and profiles.
